JATAFCA to Host World Athletics Level 2 Courses in Summer 2025

The Jamaica Track and Field Coaches Association is pleased to have received approval from World Athletics through the JAAA for the hosting of coaches certification courses in Kingston. For the first time, a level 2 Throws course will be held on the island along with Level 2 for Sprints and Hurdles.

The 6-day face to face courses are scheduled for August 8 to 13, 2025 and will include a written and an oral exam before the candidates receive their certification.

Interested coaches should apply (using the link ) to gain access to the online theory which precedes the in-person sessions in August.

The lecturers will be Roy Thomas for Throws and David Riley for Sprints & Hurdles.

The Jamaica Track and Field Coaches Association on Saturday November 22, 2025 presented awards to coaches for Long and Distinguished service to the sport. This took place at Alhambra Inn Hotel in Kingston at a function.
