The Jamaica Track and Field Coaches Association has announced today that it has received approval from World Athletics through the JAAA for the hosting of coaches certification courses in Kingston for level 2 Jumps as well as level 2 Sprints and Hurdles.

Jamaican Track & Field Coaches Will Require License on Jan 1-2025
Starting Jan 1-2025 Track and Field coaches in Jamaica will be issued with 2 year licenses to practice as a coach. The licenses will be issued under the joint authority of the Jamaica Track and Field Coaches Association (JATAFCA) and the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA).
22 Track & Field Coaches To Be Honored for Long & Distinguished Service
The Jamaica Track & Field Coaches Association joins with other national and international sporting bodies in
recognizing October 6th each year as National Coaches Day. The Association, as it has done since 2022, will present
awards to Track and Field Coaches for long and distinguished service to the nation.
13 Track & Field Coaches Received World Athletics Level 1 Certification
Thirteen Track and Field Coaches recently completed the World Athletics Coaches Education Certification System (CECS) Level 1 Program and received their certificates under the new CECS model. Under the new system, the candidates complete an online course managed by World Athletics and must also complete a practical assessment.
